Girlfriend get-togethers.

I was lucky enough these past few weeks to see some of my best friends from college! Y'all I just graduated but it seems like it is SO much harder for all of us girls to get together now. We went from all living in the same apartment building where we all lived across three different apartments - above, below and right across the hall from each other - to literally being miles and miles away! I'm so lucky to have so many girlfriends that I can always snag at least one to hang out with but when we all get together it makes it so much sweeter :)

Last Wednesday, my friends Maddie and Lindsey met up with me and Delaney for a little dinner at True Food Kitchen at Lenox Mall. It was so good to catch up with them because all four of us were roommates at GCSU! It was so much fun when we all were together and it always brings lots of laughs. I can't remember the last time we had been together before we met for dinner. Dinner was okay for me. I think I just ordered the wrong thing and wasn't totally hungry but I do have to say the Pomegranate Limeade was so so yummy! I do think that people who like restaurants that feature a more 'healthy" selection would probably love it. After dinner, the girls and I all walked around Lenox and hit up our favorite store - Forever 21 - haha, that probably shows you how much we like a good deal! Then Lindsey and Delaney got Sprinkles Cupcakes and I snapped some pics of the girls because they refused to have a stranger take a picture of all of us together, those stinkers.

So even with seeing these girls and thinking it couldn't get any better - our friend Courtney flew in that weekend from her internship in Denver and we all went to brunch on Sunday! Delaney, Maddie and I met up with Courtney, as well as our other college girlies Katie and Maddy Spence! (There's three of us in our friend group - Madie (me), Maddie (otherwise known as Walt for her last name Walters, and Maddy (otherwise known as Spence or Spencey). Anyways, we all got together at Buttermilk Kitchen in Atlanta and oh boy was it delicious. We ended up waiting AN HOUR to get in because this place is GOOD and POPULAR which we learned the hard way but once we ate - we all agreed that it was so worth it. I had to document the enormous chicken biscuit I got with the heaping side of pimento cheese grits. OH MAN. Thinking about it is making me hungry.

Apparently, Guy Fieri had been there before to specifically try these chicken biscuits and after one bite, I understood why. With the addition of my freshly squeezed orange juice, I was raving about this place to everyone I knew. If you want to go, I highly encourage you to but be warned, it closes at 3pm everyday and chicken biscuits are first come, first serve - so go early!

I threw in a picture above of the girls and I after our brunch! Do we look full and happy? I sure was ;) The rest of my week mainly consisted of working and Riley had come over for a bit on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday, Riley and I were able to go have dinner with a family I have been babysitting for, for the past EIGHT years. How crazy?! I started sitting for them when I was just a freshman in high school and now I'm out of college and the parents have become like very good friends to me! They say I'm practically an extra kid, haha! Anyways, our dinner with them was so awesome and conversation with them is just so easy and fun! We left with full bellies, happy hearts and gratitude that we knew such an awesome couple that could fill us with great wisdom. I wish I had taken some pictures of our time there because it really was such a great time!
